Which Room will you Choose this Time?

The Portrait Room - Room 2

 Room 2 is the largest of our Family Rooms and probably has the best View of the Castle.  Situated on the first floor with full en-suite facilities the room is light and airy with plenty of space to relax.  The Main Wall features a hidden Portrait/Muriel of which the subject is your own.  As with most of our Rooms the High Ceilings are supported by Original Oak beams, embracing the buildings character and age.

 

Old No.3 - Room 3

A cosy Double Room perfect for a Couples break or a Solo journey who’s traveller desires a little more space to relax.  Situate on the first floor to the front of the Hotel, Room 3 has a Fabulous View of the Castle throughout all the seasons.  The view continuously changes as the Large Old Oak Tree between the Hotel and the Castle blossoms in the Spring, turns Bright Orange with Autumn and Scarce or Snow-cased during the long Welsh Winter.

 

The Muriel Room - Room 4

A room for 2.  A lovely en-suite Twin-bedded room with Views to the Castle and the River Wye.  This room has a large covered Muriel of a 16th Century Mansion and Courtyard Spreading the length of the Main Wall.  Original Stone Wall is also exposed in the room giving it a wealth of character and charm, the Room is En-suite and also works well as a Single Room.

 

The Family Room – Room 5

Named due to its popularity with the Original residents of the House that became the Hotel.  This room is situated on the First Floor with Full En-suite.  A good sized room for a Family or Served best as a Spacious Double Room, Room 5 Offers its Guests a View Across the Small Pond and Down the Path of our Garden ablaze with Colour during the Summer Months.

 

The Rafter Rooms – Rooms 6 and 8

 Situated on the top floor of the hotel reside the quaintest of our bedrooms.  Abundant with low 17th Century Oak beams and original sloping ceilings these rooms have been reported to be a little haunted….. Full of character and charm despite not having a Castle View these rooms are popular with Families and Guests preferring a Quieter room to relax.

 

The Cottage Room – Room 9

A Superior Double Bedroom with unrivalled Castle View.  This spacious bedroom is situated in the cottage that originally was not part of the Older Building, but has recently joined our repertoire of facilities.  With a little more room than most this bedroom is perfect for a Special Occasion away or for those wishing for a Slightly Longer stay.

 

The Garden Rooms – Room 10 and Room 11

 Perfect for a Pair of Couples away for the Races or A Joint Celebration.  These rooms are self contained within a small annexe to the rear of the original building.  With Lovely Views out to the garden and across to the Pond these rooms boast a tranquil atmosphere as they are a little less cosy than some of the other Double Rooms but equally as popular.

 

The House Rooms – Room 12 and Room 14

 Take a little wonder down our cobbled path through the garden and you’ll find a couple of rooms hidden away to the rear of the grounds.  These spacious Double / Family Rooms are ideal for those with Dogs for quick access to the Garden and for those who don’t like too many stairs yet can manage a pleasant walk through the garden.
